This is the twelfth episode in a special webinar series hosted by the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Cavite Studies Center and the Local Historical Committees Network of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
The proceedings will be moderated by Dr. Emmanuel F. Calairo, Director of the DLSU-D Cavite Studies Center and Commissioner of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
For this webinar we are joined by Mr. Jonathan Balsamo of the Museo Valenzuela as he takes us on a narrative review of Drs. Jose Rizal & Pio Valenzuela’s meetings in Dapitan; Mr. John Ray Ramos of the Ateneo de Manila University as he contextualizes the war plans and strategy of the Katipunan; and Prof. Michael Charleston “Xiao” Chua of the De La Salle University – Manila as he shows us new sources on the First National Revolutionary Government of the Philippines under Supreme President Andres Bonifacio. Also joining us to provide messages are Dr. Jose Andres Diaz, President of the Bacoor Historical Society, and Mr. Ian Christopher Alfonso, Senior History Researcher of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
