This is the twelfth episode in a special webinar series hosted by the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Cavite Studies Center and the Local Historical Committees Network of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
The proceedings will be moderated by Dr. Emmanuel F. Calairo, Director of the DLSU-D Cavite Studies Center and Commissioner of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
For this episode, under the theme “The Philippine in the Malay World”, we’ll be joined by Dr. Fernando A. Santiago Jr., Director of the De La Salle University – Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub as he shares interpretations, Perspectives, and Research Prospects in the Malay World; Prof. Michael Angelo Doblado, Director of the Palawan Studies Center of the Palawan State University with his presentation of Historical Notes on Palawan and the Sultanate of Sulu; and Dr. Calbi Anji Asain, Former Dean of the Mindanao State University – Sulu College of Arts and Sciences, as he gives us an overview of the Literary Heritage of Sulu.Also joining us to provide messages are Mr. Cesar E.A. Virata, Chairman of the Cavite Historical Society and Ms. Carminda R. Arevalo, Deputy Executive Director for Administration of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
