For the first lecture, Dr. Floro C. Quibuyen (Founding President, Research Institute for Sustainable Alternatives and Associate Professor (Ret.), Asian Center, UP Diliman) will present his lecture entitled “Colonialism and Decolonisation: Global Context, Origin and Trajectory of Filipino Nationalism.”
The lecture will provide the foundations for the succeeding lectures and narrate the story of late 19th Century Philippines in the context of the world and the movements for liberal reform. His presentation will be followed by a reaction from Asst. Prof. Rhodalyn C. Wani-Obias of the UP Department of History.
