For the second lecture, Dr. Nicole E. CuUnjieng-Aboitiz (Research Fellow, University of Cambridge) will present her lecture entitled “Constructing Place in the Philippine Revolution: Asia and Transnational Malayness in the Philippine Political Imagination.”
The lecture will explore the development of the Malay Identity amidst the growth of Filipino Nationalism and Political Worldview in the late 19th Century. Her presentation will be followed by a reaction from Asst. Prof. Amado Anthony G. Mendoza III of the UP Departmento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas.
